Our Mission
Our mission at Fore the Girls is to grow the game for women and young girls by sharing golf through a positive outlook on life while creating comfortable, functional, and flattering golf clothing options. Our motto “Be the Light” stands for being a positive influence in the world, and we want our customers to have memorable and elevated experiences with golf through our uplifting and encouraging golf content, clothing, and brand.
About
In the United States, women’s and girl’s golf is rapidly growing. The number of female golfers went up from 5.6 million to 6 million in 2020, and women accounted for 36% of beginners during that year (National Golf Foundation). In 2021, 25% of golfers were women, and 35% (1.1 million) of junior players were girls, compared to 15% in 2000 (Byers). Seeing the rising participation in the game is fantastic, but there is a lack of options for women’s and girl’s golf clothing.
We launched Fore the Girls to fill the market gap in women’s and girl’s golf clothing and aim to provide comfortable, flattering, and functional golf clothing options for women and young girls. There are very few clothing options for women and girl golfers. Many pro-shops have small clothing sections for women and young girls, and the options are oftentimes very limited and unappealing. Sometimes they sell super unflattering garments that are too boxy or long, and other times there’s not enough appealing color options. The golf clothing options online are also lacking functionality and do not include the features that a woman golfer needs, for example: accessible pockets. With 15+ years of golf experience and observation, we want to resolve the clothing issues that are present in women's and girl's golf attire. We plan to bring forth modernized comfort, revolutionized features for better convenience, appealing color palettes, flattering and intentional designs, and overall better women's and girl's golf clothing that will boost confidence on and off the course.
We are currently selling feminine, lightweight bucket hats, but we plan to come out with golf dresses, matching sets, skirts, polos, rain jackets, pullovers, a knitted line, hair accessories, pants, different hat styles, golf totes, an accessories line, organic clothing options, and a golf skin-care/beauty line. The goal is to come out with numerous products that elevate confidence on the golf course while also succeeding to provide comfort and appeal for women and girl golfers. We also post helpful golf tips and advice for women and girl golfers on our Instagram and TikTok platforms (forethegirls_golf). Golf is a great long-term sport for EVERYONE, and we want to provide women and girls with the clothing and guidance to enjoy the game.
About Me
Hey y’all! My name is Cailyn Henderson, and I am 24 years old. I was introduced to golf at 3 years old and have loved it ever since. Here are some things to know about me: I love God with all of my heart, I love my family, I love golf, and I love clothes. Combine those 4 things and that is how our company was formed. There are not enough options for women’s and girl's golf clothing, so we want to help fill that gap in the market. I want our company to radiate positivity because that is what life is all about! I hope I can make a difference in the world by spreading His light, while giving y’all some VERY cute hats, clothes and much more. Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. We appreciate you more than you know!
About Me
Hi everyone my name is Margaret Wentz! I am 24 years old and live in Carmel, Indiana. I have been playing golf since I was 7 years old, and it quickly became a huge part of my life. I played on the varsity teams for both Westfield Highschool and Sewanee: The University of the South. Aside from golf, I also love to travel to other countries, draw, paint, design, and tumble. With my artistic background, I want to introduce colorful, flattering, and comfortable golf apparel for women and young girls. Throughout my life, golf apparel was very limited and unappealing, so I typically wore clothing that I did not like. I want to create elevated apparel for women and young girls that boost confidence and happiness on the course.
